This will be our last turkey post of the year. Hoping everyone had a great spring turkey season. Personally, I had an amazing season. It was my goal to help my son get his first gobbler and we came up a bit short. He had a few misses and saw lots of action! Now it’s on to big velvet whitetails! 🇺🇸🦃

In the mountains, I find that most gobblers like to work their way up the ridge in the evenings and roost at higher elevations. Many times I’ll find a bird roosting on a point that is overlooking multiple other points and ridges. First thing in the morning, that gobbler wants to be able to make sure every hen in his territory can hear him sounding off on the roost! 🇺🇸🦃
