As an official Louisiana Storyteller, I am proud to represent the resilience, innovation, and community‑driven leadership that define this state’s economic future. My journey into entrepreneurship and property revitalization in Central Louisiana has been anything but traditional — and that is precisely why it matters.

I entered this work with a clear mission: to invest in communities that have been overlooked, to create opportunity where it has long been denied, and to build assets that strengthen local economies. What I did not expect was the number of barriers that should never have been allowed to exist in the first place — barriers rooted in outdated processes, inconsistent enforcement, and long‑standing structural gaps that slow down progress for the very communities Louisiana is trying to uplift.

Yet even in the face of these challenges, I have continued to build, document, advocate, and push forward. My experience reflects both the promise and the friction within Louisiana’s economic development ecosystem. It highlights where the system is working — and where it urgently needs modernization, transparency, and alignment with the state’s own goals for growth.

Being a Louisiana Storyteller means more than sharing my personal journey. It means telling the truth about what it takes to build here, honoring the communities that deserve better, and helping shape a future where entrepreneurs don’t have to fight through unnecessary barriers just to contribute to the state’s economic footprint.

My story is not one of defeat — it is one of determination, accountability, and purpose. And I am committed to using my platform to ensure that the next generation of builders, investors, and community leaders encounters a system that supports their vision instead of standing in their way.
