Deal of the Week: Fiorucci Panino, 2 for $5 +tax. Italian salami wrapped around real mozzarella — 9g of protein, gluten free, and it lives in the cold case by the register. No app, no happy hour window, just the shelf price.

Right off the Pike in Lee — skip the driveway hose during the drought. 💧 Our Lipton Car Wash recycles its water, so the clean-car move is the water-smart move.

PITTSFIELD, MASS. — Informed that the state's Level 2 drought restrictions prohibit washing vehicles at home, an area man visited the Lipton Car Wash on South Street — which, as a commercial car wash with a water-reclamation system, is exempt — and has since begun describing himself as "basically a conservationist."

The man, who sources confirm had never previously used the word "reclamation" in a sentence, delivered an impromptu lecture in the lot on multi-stage filtration. "They filter it. They separate the particles. They recycle the water," he said, gesturing at the tunnel with newfound reverence. "I'm not just washing a car. I'm protecting the Berkshires."

Witnesses report the man has printed the drought notice, highlighted the words "except in a commercial car wash," and now carries the page "in case anyone asks." He has informed neighbors still hosing down their driveways that they "should be ashamed," and referred to his freshly cleaned sedan as "carbon neutral," a claim he could not support but delivered with conviction.

Asked to explain the reclamation process in detail, the man paused, said "water goes in, clean water comes out, that's the science," and declined further questions "to conserve energy."

He has requested the record reflect that he "cared about the environment before it was cool," effective Tuesday.

Local driveways could not be reached for comment. They are, per the restrictions, to remain dry.
