Dear Valued Cary Oil Customer—

Fuel markets across the US, and particularly in the southeast, continue to tighten causing delivery delays and pressure on prices. Markets remain constrained due to a combination of high exports, limited refining capacity, and price backwardation. Record low inventory is leading to higher wholesale prices.

As a reminder: for the foreseeable future, we suggest ordering with as much notice as you possibly can. While 48-hours is the standard in most markets, we are seeing delivery times extend far beyond that.

Carriers seem to have the most capacity mid-week (Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays) so scheduling deliveries for those days makes it more likely you will receive it during the delivery window. Weekends will remain challenging as drivers are more likely to call out or not want to work.

Please do not call the carriers directly. As we have said in the past, we are best equipped to provide answers and solutions in times like these. Our team is working around the clock to serve you, our valued customers

This came directly from our supplier. Please bear with us when we run low on fuel inventory and our prices vary.

Valued Cary Oil Customer—
Diesel inventory is at a 14-year low. While our contractual relationships with brand partners helps ensure that our customers stay supplied with fuel, extremely tight supply can mean:
• Requested loads may be altered due to availability of product
• Delivery quantities may be adjusted to accommodate demand
• Record-high diesel prices with differences between branded and unbranded as much as $1.50/gallon
We anticipate that this situation will continue throughout the summer driving months. We are closely monitoring the situation through our carrier partners and working with national, regional, and local trade organizations to help ease the current pressures for you, our valued customer.
And we need you to do your part. Alterations to diesel loads will be the norm for the foreseeable future, and we appreciate your patience as we work to provide you the best possible supply.

ServSafe is a plus, but not required.
Testing will be offered.
