How to Properly Enjoy Your Cigar
Cutting the Cigar:
Use a sharp guillotine cutter, punch, or V-cutter for a clean cut. Aim to cut just above the cap (the rounded head of the cigar) without removing too much to***co.
Types of Cuts:
Straight Cut: A clean cut that maximizes airflow.
V-Cut: Creates a deeper, V-shaped cut that concentrates flavors on the palate.
Punch Cut: A small circular cut, ideal for stronger ci**rs as it restricts airflow and intensifies flavors.
Lighting Your Cigar:
Hold the cigar at a slight angle, rotating it above the flame to toast the end. This ensures an even burn.
Once toasted, bring the cigar to your mouth and puff while keeping the cigar just above the flame. Avoid direct contact with the flame to prevent an acrid taste.
Relighting Tips: If the cigar goes out, gently tap off the ash, relight as you did initially, and puff gently until the burn evens out.
