This limited-edition blend was created “as more than a cigar – it’s a tribute” to the American spirit. In practice, it packs a USA-grown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper (from the Connecticut River Valley) for a rich, coffee-chocolate sweetness. Under that oily dark leaf lies an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a complex filler mix: Nicaraguan to***cos from Condega & Jalapa, plus a special Pennsylvania-grown P41 Connecticut leaf and a Havana-seed Connecticut filler. In short, it’s a true mix of American and premium Nicaraguan leaf.

🌿 Wrapper: USA Connecticut Broadleaf – a dark, oily shade-grown leaf from the Connecticut River Valley (think rich coffee, cocoa and molasses notes).

🌱 Binder: Ecuadorian Habano – an 8th-priming Cuban-seed binder grown in Ecuador (adds spicy complexity and ties the blend together).

🍂 Filler: Nicaraguan long-fillers (leaves from Condega and Jalapa) + American-grown leaf – including a Pennsylvania P41 varietal and a Havana-seed Connecticut leaf.

Blending Notes: Casa Carrillo emphasizes that this new mix “speaks to the strength and diversity that define the American spirit”. (By contrast, the original Allegiance line – a collab with Oliva – uses an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and all-Nica binder/filler. Pledge 2025 flips the script by foregrounding USA to***co.) This 4th of July release is truly all-American under the hood, and only reinforces why aficionados praised its predecessor.

☕ First Third: Bright and bold – notes of espresso coffee, dark chocolate and ripe berry hit the palate, woven with aromatic cedar. Early on, testers noted “coffee, berry [and] chocolate” up front, with a warm cedar/cream note rounding it out. There’s a touch of peppery sweetness on the retrohale from the Broadleaf wrapper.

🌿 Mid-Smoke: The profile deepens – creamy cocoa and cedar gently fade into earth and spice. Around the halfway mark, the sweet fruit/cream recedes and mixed pepper and oak take center stage, giving the smoke a dry, nutty edge.
