2018 is Here! New Year New Wines!

Corsiero Nero 2015

A rare taste of one of Puglia's finest grapes, more often found in pricey DOC blends. Made by top Italian winemaker Mario Ercolino, this luscious Nero di T***a has wild blackberry, violet and smoky vanilla character. Corsiero Nero was aged three months in fine French oak and lives up to its valiant name with a proud, gold-medal victory at the 2016 Berliner Wein Trophy competition

Aroma - Sumptuous wild blackberry, violet and smoky vanilla complexity

A great new white wine to discover at Chit Chat :)

Tobia Blanco - White Rioja Blend

A beautiful white blend from the Rioja region of Spain. With a clean and bright appearance, this wine has a pale yellow color with greenish hints. Very intense and open nose. Great complexity of fruity notes like passion fruit, banana, pear and citrus followed by elegant aromas of herbs including mint,
fennel and orange blossom. Silky and smooth, with a wonderful acidity that makes it very refreshing. Round and
mouthwatering, with a fragrant finish of passion fruit, mint and pear. A great alternative to Chardonnay.

2 NEW WHITE WINES FROM NEW ZEALAND AT CHIT CHAT!!

13 CELSIUS -- SAUVIGNON BLANC

Light and crisp with bright notes of citrus, accentuated by a wonderful minerality and herbal complexity that would allow for this wine to be paired best with intricate and layered dishes. Sauteed sea bass with lemongrass, grilled Ahi tuna with watercress salad or a classic shrimp cocktail with a fresh avocado are perfect pairing partners.

WHITE'S BAY -- SAUVIGNON BLANC

All that you are looking for in a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc but in a slightly riper and softer style. Wonderful citrus, kiwi, and grapefruit notes compliment each other with a more mellow, toned down representation. Gentle acidity pleasantly greets the senses and will certainly help cleans ones palate when enjoying some light summertime fare.

A smokin' effort that readers should check out is the 2015 Tavel Rosé from Chateau d'Aqueria. Made from a mix of Grenache, Clairette, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Syrah, Bourboulenc and Picpoul, it has an elegant, medium-bodied, textured style on the palate to go with ripe aromas and flavors of framboise, black cherries, crushed herbs and a touch of minerality. Drink this food friendly beauty over the coming year or so.

A NEW SPANISH WHITE AT CHIT CHAT!!!

Sendero Des Santos - Albarino
As one of the most popular white varietals in Spain, the Albarino grape allows for the crafting of some of the most elegant white wines to be experienced. The Sendero Des Santos Albarino, though inexpensive, stills brings to light all the beautiful characteristics to be found in these wines. You are greeted with a lovely floral bouquet on the nose and further tickled by the succulent ripe white peach and bright lemon flavors to follow. Light, dry and crisp, with a wonderful minerality; it makes for an ideal summer time wine to be served with your favorite seafood dish.

A NEW PROVENCE ROSE AT CHIT CHAT!!!

Domaine Houchart - Sainte Victoire Rose
When I tried this rose for the first time a few weeks ago I have to say that I was almost upset at the sales rep. for not having tasted me on it earlier in the year. The best Provence rose that I have tried all season! Deep pink in color with an aromatic nose of crushed red berry fruit and hints of blood orange. A generous palate that offers up fresh flavors of peaches, melons, and tangerines, along with zesty citrus notes. A fantastic example of Provence rose!
