What sets us apart from other online stores, is that we pride ourselves on not only promoting and educating our patrons on wildlife and nature, but we also promote habitat preservation as well as the conservation of endangered and threatened species. We also donate portions of our sales back to our local zoo, misc. wildlife organizations and several local/ national/ international non-profit organizations. Laura and I take great pride in providing our patrons the highest customer service possible as we ourselves expect from the companies we buy from and do business with. We want to thank all of our current and previous customers for their loyalty and patronage and welcome all of our new customers. We look forward to serving and educating all of you, as well as the online community for many years to come. We also want to thank GOD for this wonderful opportunity to share our passion with others :)

Today is 🤗

10/17/2026

Today reminded me why Laura and I started this venture 20 years ago and I just wanted to share 🤗

A mom walked through our door today with her 7-year-old daughter. The little girl had an assignment for her 2nd grade social studies class: visit a local mom-and-pop shop and interview the owner. I was so humbled and honestly just blown away they chose us😊

She was pretty shy at first, asking me questions about what the store means to our community, my favorite part of the store, and what we do here. After her interview, I asked if she wanted to try Scout’s scavenger hunt. She took her Field Guide, started hunting down the animals with her mom, and by the time she finished, that shy little girl had warmed up and was smiling ear-to-ear.🤗

Running an independent shop certainly has its moments behind the scenes, and things aren't always easy 😏 We certainly never opened the Zootique to get rich 😆—we opened it to give local families a place of wonder, discovery, and an experience unlike anything else. Watching that little girl leave today standing tall, confident, and smiling ear-to-ear was truly amazing 😊

To that wonderful mom and daughter: thank you!! You have no idea what your visit meant to me today. This is why we do what we do. And this is why we will never stop fighting for this zootique.🤗
