Earlier in the year, we were selected to pick a special barrel of the Double Oak from Woodford.
This is a higher proof and longer aged version. It has been in a toasted 2nd barrel for 11 months verses the typical 8-9 months. The whiskey is un-cut and left right at proof when it is dumped. If you like the normal Double Oak, then you are going to love this.

Yes, it is Crown, but it is a high proof single barrel with some good age on it. It is a little sweet and a little spice and totally nice. At 103 proof and only $60, it is worth a try.
