Collecapretta 'Il Burbero' Umbria Rosso 2022

“il Burbero” or “The Curmudgeon” is red w**e made from later-harvest 80% Sangiovese, 10% Ciliegiolo, and 10% Merlot vines grown in the hills and grown on trellises as in the Umbrian peasant tradition. Spontaneous fermentation without temperature control, with 7 days skin maceration. No yeasts are added except those derived from grapes and from the cellar. Aged in stainless steel and cement tanks. No added sulfur and no filtering or fining.

2019 marks the 43rd vintage for the Robert Keenan W**ery and the 19th consecutive vintage of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. This year’s blend consists of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 15 and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7, both from our “Big K” vineyard, and 5% Cabernet Franc from our “Upper Bowl” vineyard. Deep aromatics, piercing and precise, a full rich saturated mouth feel, and a long lasting multi-layered finish define this exemplary blend. Enjoy now or decades from now.

Oddero e Figli 'Convento' Langhe Rosso 2024

A blend of Dolcetto, with some Barbera — and a touch of Nebbiolo for structure — from vineyards around the cellar at Santa Maria. Varietals are naturally fermented in stainless steel, assembled and matured for 6 months or so in cement (with the Nebbiolo component in cask) with spontaneous malo, and then assembled in the late Spring after harvest for bottling. Light and crunchy with violet-y berry fruit that speaks of its Dolcetto majority, yet with decent grip and structure.
