Washington can try to take away our options.

But they can’t ban what they don’t know.

Kava. Kanna. Blue lotus. And an entire new generation of functional ingredients are entering the beverage space, most politicians have probably never even heard of.

People are looking for new ways to relax, connect, focus, socialize and feel different, without reaching for alcohol.

That innovation isn’t stopping.

It’s accelerating.

They can regulate an ingredient.
They can outlaw a molecule.
They can try to protect industries that already exist.

But they can’t ban the future.

And the future is functional. 🤙🤙

🚨 BIG WIN FOR H**P 🚨

Today, the U.S. House officially passed H.R. 6500 - including the Senate provision delaying the federal h**p restrictions from November 12 to December 11, 2026.

The vote wasn't even close: 370–48

The Senate had already passed the legislation 90-6, meaning Congress has now approved the same legislation in both chambers. The bill also has White House support.

But the biggest story here isn't the extra 30 days.

It's WHY we got them.

An attempt in the Senate to remove the h**p extension was defeated 61-32. Congress could have simply allowed the new restrictions to take effect November 12. Instead, lawmakers voted overwhelmingly to give the h**p industry more time.

More time to have conversations.

More time to develop responsible regulations.

More time to protect consumers AND the thousands of farmers, manufacturers, brands and small businesses that have built this industry.

We don't want an unregulated market.

We want sensible regulations - age restrictions, testing, labeling and responsible standards.

Regulate h**p. Don't eradicate it.

Today was a BIG step in that direction.

Fun fact. We existed before cannabis drinks were even a thing.

We helped this category grow from something most people had never heard of into the fastest growing section of the beverage aisle.

And here's something Big Alcohol seems to be forgetting...

You don't build a category by putting products on big box retail shelves and throwing a bunch of generic marketing dollars behind them.

You build it from the ground up.

Independent bottle shops. Functional beverage retailers. Bartenders. Creators. Small brands. People willing to put exciting new s**t on a shelf and spend years explaining to customers why they should try it.

We've introduced countless people to these drinks. We sampled them. Talked about them. Collabed to create them. Made content about them. Built communities around them.

We helped make them mainstream.

So if you want to take cannabis away from the very people who helped build the market for it?

Fine.

Take it.

We'll move on.

We'll find the next category nobody understands yet. We'll put it on our shelves. We'll talk about it relentlessly. We'll introduce millions of people to it through our channels.

And we'll make something else even fu***ng cooler.

But don't worry, Big Alcohol...

We'll let you know what to steal next. ✌️

Introducing your 2026 Non-Alc Leader of the Year 🏆

In 2022, I opened Generation NA, the first non-alc bottle shop in the Midwest.

People commented. Laughed. Gave us six months tops.

And honestly, I could see why they were skeptical.

I was opening a store in Lafayette, Indiana, dedicated to drinks without alcohol. This wasn't New York or LA. There wasn't a blueprint for this in the Midwest. Hell, there wasn't much of an industry yet.

But I could feel something coming.

People were beginning to question why alcohol had to be at the center of every celebration, every dinner, every good day and every bad day.

People wanted options. Maybe they were sober or sober curious. Maybe they wanted to drink less.

Or maybe they just didn't want a fu***ng drink that night.

And I thought that should be enough.

So I built Generation NA around that idea.

Along the way, I learned something about leadership. I used to think a leader was the person at the front because they knew exactly where they were going. I'm not sure that's true anymore.

Sometimes a leader is just the person crazy enough to start walking before there's a path.

Because this movement isn't simply about taking alcohol out of a drink.

It's about giving people more choices.

Today, some of those choices are being threatened. Leadership now means standing up and fighting for them.

Four and a half years ago, we asked people to rethink what they drink.

Today, we're asking something bigger...

Who gets to decide what we're allowed to drink?

I intend to keep fighting for the answer to be the person drinking it.

To my incredible team, the brands, bars, bottle shops, advocates and everyone building this space, thank you.

And to everyone who's supported Generation NA along the way...

You proved us right. ❤️

Indiana is kicking us out in 82 days. Where should we move?

On November 12th, new federal h**p laws make most of the THC/CBD products we sell illegal.

I believe we've built something truly special at Generation NA. For 4+ years, we've helped countless people find alternatives that work for them.

But Indiana lawmakers don't seem to see the value in what we've built, or in preserving those choices.

Instead, they want to take those options away, pushing consumers back toward the same choices they've always had - alcohol or pharmaceuticals.

We believe people deserve more options, not fewer.

In cannabis-friendly states, businesses have another option - adapt, get licensed and operate within a regulated cannabis market.

Indiana doesn't give us that option.

So, hypothetically speaking…

If Generation NA had to pack up and move to a cannabis-friendly state, where should we go?

Colorado? Michigan? Illinois? Somewhere else?
