For over fifty years, Git ‘N Go has been your neighborhood spot, and we’ve proudly served Anderson County’s best hot dog!
That legendary taste comes from our specific recipe for the quality of the hotdog with specific higher nutritional value along with our private recipe of chili that you have known now for 50 years. But in those 50 years we have had two major hiccups, and our loyal GIT’N GO customers could immediately tell the difference and we are thankful for our customers for taking the time to give us this valuable feedback.
Our friends at Family Brands right here in Lenoir City, make our custom hot dogs and that perfect chili we all know and love.
We’ve been through some tough chapters together — the tragic fire that happened in 2017 took out the hot dog plant and we immediately restored the original dog in 2021 when the facility was rebuilt. A few months ago, when the USDA changed the rules on how our chili could be packed. Family Brands had to completely redesign their process with brand-new equipment and technology. As a result, we discontinued the original product from being made for about 3 months. Even though we were overstocked for this, the delivery was later than expected and once again our customers comments reminded us of the following we had for over 50 years and we thank them.
Great News! As of May 11th they will be back and that means your favorite original hot dog and chili combo will be back on the menu exactly the way you’ve always loved it.
Same great taste. Same loyal tradition. Thousands of you have grown up on these dogs while serving 14 million and going strong!
