🌕🍂 The Hunter’s Moon is about to light up the October night sky!
Starting on October 25, 2026, the Moon will reach peak illumination just after midnight on October 26 at 12:11 AM. Eastern Standard Time.
Known as the Hunter’s Moon, October’s full Moon traditionally follows the Harvest Moon. Its name is linked to autumn traditions in the Northern Hemisphere, when the bright Moon provided extra light during the season of hunting and preparing for winter.
Want to catch a beautiful view? 🌝✨
The best time to look is often around moonrise, when the Moon appears close to the horizon. It may glow golden, orange, or reddish as its light passes through more of Earth’s atmosphere. As it climbs higher, it usually appears whiter.
Here are a few simple tips for watching it:
🌅 Find a spot with a clear view of the eastern horizon.
🕒 Check your local moonrise time.
🌃 Choose a location with an unobstructed view of the sky.
📸 For stunning photos, frame the Moon alongside trees, mountains, or buildings.
You don’t need a telescope to enjoy the show. Even only from the eyes a beautiful sight on a clear night it is visible.
And if the Moon looks unusually enormous near the horizon, you’re not imagining the effect—but its apparent size is largely an optical illusion.
Mark your calendar for October 25 and look up. Sometimes, one of the most beautiful sights in the universe is waiting just outside your door. 🌕💛
