On Nov. 27, 2025, Kill Devil Hills Commissioner Terry Gray passed away at the age of 69. Aside from his years of commitment to the Town, which included a stint as mayor, his charitable work entailed serving as lead organizer for the Dare County Motorsports Charity Group.
This week, to honor his legacy, the Outer Banks Community Foundation announced the creation of Terry Gray Memorial Charity Fund with a story paying tribute to him. Excerpts of that story are reprinted below.
