VOLUNTEERS WANTED – CHICKEN HARVEST WEEK AT 1776 PASTURED FARMS | Hunters, WA
Want to learn a new skill? Curious about how we do things at 1776 Pastured Farms? Or maybe you just want to help out and fill your freezer with clean, pasture-raised chicken?
We’re looking for volunteers to join us for our upcoming chicken harvest from June 16th to June 22nd!
Help needed with:
• Evisceration (gutting)
• Cutting up birds into parts
• Bagging, sealing, and labeling
• Transporting birds from tractor to station
• General setup, cleanup, and support
No experience necessary — we’re happy to train you!
We ask that new volunteers commit to a minimum of 3 days, so we can properly train and work efficiently together.
If you’ve helped us before, we’d love a multi-day commitment — but even if you can only make it for one day, we’d still be grateful for the help.
Perks:
We offer $16/hour in premium, pasture-raised whole chickens or chicken cuts if available — a great way to stock your freezer with pasture-raised meat while learning something new and helping your local farm.
