Hey JCS Fam,

As many of you know, we've called Park County home for almost four years.

Long before we ever dreamed of buying the Jefferson Corner Store, we were busy building a homestead and creating a life for our family right here in the mountains.

Over the last two weeks, we've welcomed 11 piglets to the farm, and yesterday brought another exciting surprise with 5 lambs born to 3 different moms!

Ranch life isn't always easy. There are long days, late nights, and plenty of challenges along the way. But moments like these remind us why we do it. Getting to hold these little babies and watch them take their first steps makes all the hard work worth it.

We still have several ewes and does that are getting close to kidding and lambing, so we're expecting even more little ones soon.

If you're looking to expand your ranch, homestead, or small farm, feel free to reach out. We may have some piglets, lambs, or other livestock available in the coming months.

Hey JCS Fam,

Nestled at the base of Kenosha Pass and just minutes from the world-class fishing at Jefferson Lake and Tarryall Reservoir, we're quickly becoming one of the top fishing stops in Park County.

Last week, we brought in 60 boxes of worms, and we're excited to announce that we officially sold out today!

What started as a small fishing section has grown much faster than we expected. Every week we're adding more bait, tackle, lures, and fishing essentials to better serve both our local anglers and the many visitors heading to the lakes.

If there's a specific lure, bait, or fishing item you'd like to see us carry, let us know. We're working hard to become your one-stop shop for fishing, hiking, and camping supplies, snacks, drinks, ice, and everything else you need before hitting the water or campsite.

After your big catch, stop by and get Ice at the JCS Ice and Water factory to keep you fishing cool for the ride home. Open 24/7.

Hey JCS Family,

This week, the South Park School District celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. About a month ago, they reached out to ask if we could provide fudge for the teachers because they loved the local feel of the JCS Famous Fudge.

Of course, we said yes! We love supporting our teachers and giving back to the community that has supported us so much.

On Tuesday, the PTA picked up over 100 pieces of fudge to include in staff appreciation bags. We also added a coupon for a free piece of fudge for every staff member as a small thank you for everything they do.

Please keep JCS Famous Fudge in mind for your next community event, staff appreciation, party, wedding, reunion, or gathering — we would love to help make it special.

We’re also getting very close to being able to ship fudge nationwide, so stay tuned for that exciting update!

Goooooooooood Mooooooorning JCS Fam!

We started this morning with 5am call from Kevin Sellers saying there is a 2 hour delay for PCSD. Then got a call from him at 6 am saying school is closed.

SNOW DAY on May 6. Unheard of!

So let's talk JCS. A lot of people might also get to coincidence no school day with a day off from work, but here at JCS, we get no days off as summer is here soon!!

So what do we do today?

A. Mope because it could be busier!
B. Close due to snow
C. Make 500 pieces if FUDGE, test new food to build the kitchen, serve the community and a place for people to warm up.
D Go Sledding and have a Snowball fight!
