Hey JCS Fam,

We have a big announcement and an answer to a question you are probably wondering!

I know everyone is asking themselves right now, where is the best place to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. #7 Indiana Hoosiers today?

Well, the obvious answer is the JCS.

Come cheer on the Huskers at 10 a.m. today!

BTW, a free piece of fudge for everyone wearing Nebraska gear today!

If the Huskers or Broncos aren't playing, we will be watching the next best game as well!

Secondly, Head Chef Jamie now has grab-and-go cold wraps and sandwiches! These are only the first step! Our new meat slicer will be here this week, and we will be able to cater any size sliced meat sandwich order! Or, if you want sliced meat and cheese to go, we have you covered.

The Head Chef is now brining her own turkey and dry-rubing roast beef (releasing soon).

🏔️ JCS CATERING — WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED!

Hey JCS Fam!

Apparently Chef Jamie and LaRue's Scratch Kitchen have been keeping another little secret… we cater too! 😎

Yesterday as we were heading out the door, we had 3 people come in and ask if we can cater brunch for his daughters wedding. "I need it Saturday" he said, Jamie said "next Saturday " he said "no, tomorrow"!

This morning we had the privilege of putting together this spread for a local wedding celebration for 24 people.

🍓 Two fresh fruit platters
🧀 Artisan cheese & mixed nut board
🥨 Seasoned pretzel bites
☕ Fresh hot coffee with all the fixings
🥐 And a whole pile of Jamie’s homemade scones — sweet AND savory!

And we're not finished yet… tomorrow morning they're getting 24 fresh JCS breakfast burritos to keep the celebration going and cure any possible hangover.... 🌯🔥

The father of the bride took one look at today's spread and told us it looked amazing — and THAT is exactly what we want to hear when somebody trusts JCS to be part of an important day.

Hey JCS Fam,

We have a huge announcement!

Head Chef Jamie LaRue has won her 4th South Park Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-off!

This year, she won Judges' Choice and took home her 4th Golden Ladle! (It would be 5, but the first year they didn't have a Golden Ladle! 2025 they did not have a cook-off. 🫩)

We also want to congratulate Megan for winning People's Choice, all the contestants who poured their hearts into their chili, the locals that voted, NW Fire for providing the location, and the SP Chamber for hosting the great event.

🇺🇸🏔️ HAPPY LABOR DAY, JCS FAM! 🏔️🇺🇸
After one heck of a busy Labor Day weekend, Jamie and I finally have a minute to come up for air. 😂

First and foremost…

Thank you to everyone who stopped in this weekend, everyone traveling through Jefferson, and especially our locals who continue to support us day after day.

We've said it before, but we'll keep saying it:
YOU are the reason this little corner store keeps growing.

And apparently we've been a little busy lately because we looked up and the JCS Fam has already grown to 11,000 FOLLOWERS! 🤯😂
We just celebrated 10,000 and you guys apparently decided that wasn't enough. ❤️
But the store has been growing too, and we've got a couple things we're excited to tell you about!

🎉 FIRST — JCS NOW HAS A LOYALTY PROGRAM! 🎉

With our move to our new Clover system, we're finally able to start rewarding the people who keep coming back and supporting us.

❤️🏔️ 10,000. TEN. THOUSAND. JCS FAMILY Memebers 🏔️❤️
We had to stare at that number for a minute.

Because on December 21st, 2025, Jamie and I unlocked the doors to Jefferson Corner Store for our very first day.

That day...

14 people walked through our doors.

Fourteen.

And we were grateful for every single one of them. ❤️

We didn't know what JCS would become.

We didn't have a corporate office telling us what to do.

We didn't have a marketing department.

We didn't have some giant advertising budget.

Shoot, half the time we're just trying to keep up with running a store, cooking food, making fudge, fixing things, raising animals and whatever other adventure decides to find us that day. 😂

But we had an idea.

We wanted to bring this little corner store back to life.

We wanted to build a place our locals could count on, travelers would remember, and anybody walking through the door would feel welcome.

And somewhere along the way...
YOU GUYS SHOWED UP.

❤️ You bought our fudge.

🍔 You tried our food.

🏔️ You watched us build JCS piece by piece.

😂 You laughed with us when things went sideways.

🐂 You fell in love with Winnie and Herbie.

🐾 You met our animals and became part of their stories.

📦 You told us what you wanted us to carry — and we listened.

And then one ridiculous little video took off...
1 million views.

Then 5 million.
Then 10 million.

And now that little video has passed...

13 MILLION VIEWS. 🤯

People started finding our little store from places we've never even been.

And this morning...

We looked at the Jefferson Corner Store page and saw something we never imagined seeing this soon:

10,000 FOLLOWERS. WOW.

Ten thousand people decided that whatever the hell we're doing up here at 9,502 feet is worth sticking around to watch. 😂❤️

But here's what matters most to Jamie and me:

We don't think of you as 10,000 followers.

You're the JCS Fam.

Some of you have been here since the beginning.

Some found us because of Herbie and Winnie.

Some live right down the road.

Some live thousands of miles away and may never have stepped foot in Colorado.

But somehow you found Jefferson.
And somehow... you found us. ❤️

From 14 customers on opening day...to 10,000 members of the JCS Fam. In less than nine months.

That's absolutely fudging unbelievable.

And we need you to know something:
WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED. 🔥

There's a whole lot coming.
More food.
More fudge.
More animals.
More improvements.
More ridiculousness. 😂
More stories.
And plenty more things we're probably going to break and then have to figure out how to fix. 😂🔧

But whatever comes next... we're taking you guys along for the ride.
So from Jamie, Jon, me, our family, our crew, Herbie, Winnie and everybody who makes this crazy little mountain store what it is...
