It’s Transformation Tuesday!

Take a look at this stunning table makeover — full of texture, charm, and a touch of shimmer! ✨

We started with a base coat in Olive by Annie Sloan, then sealed it with a mix of Clear and Black Wax for depth. The top was decoupaged with decorative papers, and the bee stencil was brought to life using copper leaf. To finish it off, Copper Gilding Wax was brushed along the edges for just the right glow.

Cool window idea from our new Across-the-street neighbors!

I didn’t know how I was going to top the balloons.

But here we are.
Color-coded Post-its. Hundreds of hand-written notes.
Me, in feral squirrel mode with a Sharpie and a vision.

It started as a weird marketing idea.
Somewhere in the chaos, it turned into… a rainbow?
A wall of feelings?
A soft launch of my mental state?

Anyway. It’s art now.

Every note = me.
Every color = joy.
Every detail = slightly unhinged but wildly intentional.

The second door is blank for you to write your own.

Today, on Juneteenth, we honor Annie Fisher, Columbia’s first biscuit entrepreneur and a true pioneer. Born to formerly enslaved parents, Annie built a national reputation and a thriving business with her famous “old Missouri style” beaten biscuits. She even invented a custom biscuit cutter and ran a successful mail-order operation from right here in Mid-Missouri. Her talent, determination, and innovation helped shape our region’s culinary history. We’re proud to celebrate her legacy today.
