As you know, the electricity is out. We are open for cash sales of all products doing it by hand the old fashioned way!! Lol

When it starts to get to dark and the power is still out, we will be closing before 9 pm due to lack of light and for safety reasons.

We will be back open at 10:00 tomorrow morning, hopefully with full power restored. Either way, we will be here.

On October 31, 1950, I was born. Yes, I am now 74. I am a Halloween baby, a Scorpio and my favorite color is orange followed by black. I am doomed! Lol. If you have ever wondered why I am the person I am, the Zodiac description of me as a Scorpio is pretty accurate.

I was born the same year Whataburger began, 1950. They too are orange nuts. I grew up on Whataburgers. My ladies at Bucks & Hot Rods Liquor Wine Beer appreciate my weird addiction to Whataburger. They always get Whataburger gift cards, which I cherish! This year they put it over the top. This cake is spectacular in detail and accuracy. It is mostly all edible! I really hated to cut it up. I am glad though that we did. It was as outstanding tasting as it was visually appealing. Stephanie Fenter Miller located the lady in Wichita that made the cake. Her, Betty Logan , Missy Laughridge , Mica, Tasha, Fiona, Kim, Zach, Mark, Cindy all pitched in to make this my best birthday ever! Thank you ladies with all my heart!

I want to sincerely thank all the friends that posted on FB, called or texted me Happy Birthday 🎂 wishes. It was a remarkable Happy Birthday.

Today, Missy informed me a customer came in to BHR today wanting to buy the new Crown Royal Blackberry flavor of blended Whisky after going to Jack Liquor.

What he found out is that that JL is price gouging. That is not new. They HAVE DONE THAT since day 1 when they opened with quite a few products. Their price was $70.00. This product has very limited availability. Even so, WE NEVER mark up any product above our standard margin for ALL PRODUCTS. We have the same fair markup ON EVERY PRODUCT we sell. NO EXCEPTIONS! We have NEVER PRICE GOUGED....WE NEVER WILL! We have operated this way WITHOUT FAIL EVERYDAY we have been in business since we opened in 2017.

BTW, we sold out early in the week after finally getting a case of the blackberry from our vendor. Missy collects bourbons. She had one in her collection that she retrieved and sold it to the gentleman at our regular price of $34.99...50% LESS than these people!

As a military veteran and an American Patriot, we will NEVER TREAT ANY CUSTOMER like he was treated. We will never allow our morals, ethics and conscience to be compromised that results in such disrespectful business practices. BTW, this gentleman is now a customer. He has found a home with fair and honest Americans.

Missy puts her heart and soul into BHR. I BUILT THE STORE for HER in 2017, not for me. She loves and respects our customers.

Some cultures forget this is America. We never have and never will. Come home to BHR where you are respected and appreciated and will always be treated fairly. We are not only fair, we are the best!

Beloved White Tail Deer in Texas are being executed - not by hunters, but by the State of Texas in the dead of night. Deer breeders are up in arms. Wait unti...
