View arts center in Old Forge will offer an escape to a place with a bit of color to contrast the outdoor, snowy palette in Central New York with four new exhibitions opening in March, including the show that started it all in 1951 — The Central Adirondack Art Show.
The 74th Annual Central Adirondack Art Show will be on display from March 15 to May 17. This long-standing Old Forge tradition features artists from throughout the Central Adirondack Region and beyond. This open show allows all people making art to show their work together in a professional gallery, and always features a diverse set of work in all mediums.
“Viewpoints” showcases the work of View’s very own Mountain Air Painters and Independent Potters, with a mix of paintings and ceramics from the many talented local artists in these programs. Viewpoints opened on March 1.
The Central New York Watercolor Society Signature Show will represent the Society’s Signature members, dedicated artists who have demonstrated a level of excellence as juried by the CNYWS Board of Directors. The Signature Show opens March 15.
In its second year, the 2025 Regional High School Art Exhibition will be on view from March 8. This exhibition features the work of top student artists from participating schools in our region.
A free Opening Reception for all shows will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 4-6 p.m. The reception is open to the public and will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
