Did you know that the original shaft for the Cary Mine is behind the store? While getting ready to build, I came across the foundation of the Cary clubhouse and the remnants of an outdoor fireplace. A gentleman stopped by and told me stories of great yard parties for the miner families held there with lights hanging from the trees. We looked up and noticed that there were remnants from those strings of lights grown into the trees and were way up high, so they must’ve been there for a very long time.

Gonna keep this very simple this morning. We have ALOT OF NEW SNOW and it is supposed to keep snowing all day, and over this weekend!! Happy we didn't close our trails, and we are trying very hard to prepare them after the latest snow for you this weekend . Come visit us and thank our area businesses for a great season. Most trails are open for snowmobile use, although some will not be groomed in the low-lying areas. Trail 7 and parts of 15 are CLOSED due to water.

JUST ANNOUNCED:
South Island Lake Road is now gated and CLOSED to automobile traffic. Snowmobiles are currently allowed to use this road. There is water in spots and the reason it's closed to autos. Island Lake Rd beyond the gates is NOT open to snowmobiles.

Make sure to visit our friends at the Gogebic Range Trail Authority - ORV & Snowmobile Club for their event tomorrow on the Michigan side of the Winter line! 😃

Yesterday we saw the temperature reach 48 degrees. This morning, it's 10 and windy! Our groomers are out in full force this morning, and were all night. Our trails should be back in EXCELLENT shape for your riding pleasure today. Dress warm as the temperature is predicted to drop below zero tonight. This is Wisconsin, and if you want different weather, just wait a few hours!

Good morning! It's snowing in Hurley WI, 27 degrees, and groomers have been out in full force throughout our area. Trails are looking much better as the temperature cools down, and the water areas tighten up. Trails are mostly GREAT, once again! Groomers fought heavy, wet snow last night, but smoothed the surfaces up as best they could at 32 degrees. Overall, this should be another great February weekend for riding! Every day after President's weekend is a riding bonus, so keep enjoying these great trail conditions while they last!! Please thank our supporting area businesses for all they do to help us keep these trails great for you, year after year.
As always, Ride RIGHT, Ride SAFE, WATCH for groomers, and Ride RESPONSIBLY.
