Jain and is managed by the Ajaymadhu Jain Living Trust, the AJM Trust, and the Triplets Plus One Trust. From its inception, MOTU Properties has concentrated on real estate development and management, quickly gaining a reputation for quality and reliability. Ajay Jain came to Galveston from India when he was 17 years old. He started working at a gas station located at 61st and Stewart on the island, eventually advancing to manager and supervisor positions before purchasing the station.
In the early 1990s, he and his wife opened their first Texaco station. Over time, they expanded their business to include hotels, which are now managed by their daughter, Anju Jain.
Today, the company's portfolio includes various residential and commercial properties around Houston. This growth has been driven by a commitment to providing high-quality living and working spaces that meet community needs. Each store is designed to provide customers a welcoming and convenient experience, offering various products and services, including a tunnel car wash and various food and beverage options.
MOTU Stop has been recognized for its community engagement and business excellence. In 2025, the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce named MOTU Stop the Business of the Quarter. This accolade highlights the company's commitment to supporting local schools, charities, and neighborhood initiatives.
