Our Story
Mickey Bearden started this little restaurant in 1989 for his family. Him and his wife Patricia stayed up for hours one evening coming up with the now ‘Famous BBQ Sauce’! Making up many different side items to go with. Mickey and Patricia worked hard at getting their restaurant open. When they finally did, Mickey had all his followers from his previous place of employment come and check him out. Boy were they amazed at what Mickey and Pat had done for themselves. They became steady customers after.
They incorporated a few of their kids to come and help and to teach them the ‘Mickey’ way! They also employed a few others as well. Through out the years, Mickeys had won several awards for first and second place in the readers choice awards. They are modest and have them on the wall in back room....Mickeys has been put in the ‘Food for the Road’ book. Mickey’s has also been in food magazines. Many an article has been written about Mickey’s and the great tasten BBQ.
Mickey passed in 2003. Then his lovely wife in 2017. His Two daughters Jaime and Kelly work hard at making sure that their parents legacy stands tall. Go by and say hi to the girls and grab some great tasten, boot kicking BBQ when your in the area!
