The Hope General Store in Hope, Maine has been serving this small Midcoast town since 1832! Set at the crossroads of Routes 105 and 235, this classic country store still houses the town’s post office and welcomes you inside with creaky floors, a wood-burning Queen Atlantic stove, and the smell of fresh baked goods. You can grab a hot slice of pizza, a handmade sandwich, or pick up Maine-made crafts, produce, and pantry staples. There’s a cozy spot to sit and eat, and shelves full of local finds. It’s a true working general store...and still the heart of this quiet village.
