Hi everyone, we were recognised by one of our local police departments today. We wanted to thank the Rutland MA Police Department and Holden MA Police Department for their prompt assistance in helping is keep our community safe!

A big shout out to Dhrue Patel of One Stop Beer and Wine (1142 Main St, Holden MA). Mr. Patel quickly recognized an attempted elder fraud when he observed a Rutland resident attempt to put $15,000 into a Bitcoin ATM. Mr. Patel stopped the female and contacted police where it was confirmed scammers were attempting to steal the female’s money. Great job Dhrue!!

The Rutland Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to remain vigilant when dealing with financial matters, especially investments. If something seems too good to be true, it likely is. If something feels like a scam or raises doubts, it probably is. When in doubt, seek a second opinion before proceeding.
