Citrusy, tart, dry, and zesty, with just enough tropical fruit to give the w**e a little extra roundness and texture. Fresh, balanced, and incredibly versatile, especially with fish and seafood. 🐟🥂

🍺 Fresh From Europe, Literally.

Laz is checking out the latest arrivals from B. United, imported from Europe in temperature-controlled tanks, then canned and kegged at their OEC Connecticut facility. Short of drinking at the brewery, it’s about as fresh as imported European b**r gets.

🇩🇪 Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Pale Edition
From the legendary Bamberg brewery known for smoked la**rs. This lighter, more approachable expression has a gentle Beechwood smokiness with savory, almost umami character. A great introduction to smoked b**r and fantastic with charcuterie.

🇩🇪 Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche Oak Smoke
Brewed only once a year, this 8% Doppelbock uses oak-smoked malt instead of Beechwood, giving it a fuller, smoother, deeply savory character. Rich, distinctive, and unlike almost anything else you’ll drink.

One of Laz’s favorite reds of the year, and a w**e he fell in love with while visiting Sierras de Málaga in Southern Spain this past spring.
It’s the perfect transition w**e as we move from summer into fall, fresh and lively enough for warm days, but with just enough structure for red w**e season. 🍂🍷

🍺🍂 Laz Reviews Ordinem Ecentrici Coctores Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest season is in full swing, and Laz is tasting one of his personal favorites, OEC Oktoberfest from Oxford, Connecticut.

Brewed in the traditional l***r style with German yeast and grains, this is a Festbier rather than a Märzen, so it’s lighter and easier drinking while still delivering plenty of flavor.

Expect a beautiful amber color, toasted bread and a touch of honeyed malt, with subtle earthy hops and a crisp, clean finish. Malt-driven without being heavy or overly sweet, it’s exactly what Laz looks for in an Oktoberfest b**r.

The 2022 Trisaetum Dry Riesling from the Willamette Valley is everything we look for in a summer white—vibrant, crisp, energetic, bone dry, and incredibly long on the finish. It’s just as enjoyable on its own as it is with almost any meal.
