The Mystic Wines of Clos Saron 🍷 Clos Saron is a tiny, cult-favorite winery tucked into California’s Sierra Foothills AVA. Founded in 1999 by Gideon Beinstock and his wife Saron, the winery produces small batches of minimalist, terroir-driven wines that fit any definition of natural wine. Among their standout offerings is the 2021 Black Swan Zinfandel, a complex, earthy red with barnyard funk, leather, and gamey notes that challenge expectations of the grape. Not for the casual drinker, this wine rewards the experienced palate. For those seeking a truly distinctive and authentic red, Clos Saron is well worth discovering.

Did you know the Common Tern is Hoboken’s Official Honorary Bird? This past summer, the City Council voted to recognize this magnificent bird’s contribution to the Mile Square. In addition, we are hoping to inform members of the community about these birds’ place in Hoboken, and introduce them to a floating island project that seeks to provide them with a permanent nesting in the Hudson River.
