🌊💡Ready for an unforgettable coastal adventure? The 2026 Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey returns October 17–18! Visit the iconic Cape May Lighthouse along with other lighthouses, life-saving stations, and museums across New Jersey during this exciting two-day journey celebrating the state's rich maritime history.
This year we'll be celebrating the 250th birthday of our country and honoring Sandy Hook Lighthouse, which was the only New Jersey lighthouse standing during the Revolution.
Register at any lighthouse starting point you choose and receive a map of colonial New Jersey with a pocket for each of the sites on the Challenge. Collect a wooden token at each site to fill the pockets and complete the Challenge.

Sandy Hook Bay is serving as the primary staging area for Sail4th 250, the largest gathering of international tall ships and naval vessels in modern American history. The massive fleet will begin assembling in the waters off Sandy Hook, NJ, on July 3, 2026.
