šŸ—ŗļø HELP US BUILD A FLORIDA SPRING BUCKET LIST.

Here's the challenge:

You can recommend ONE Florida spring to someone who has never explored Florida's springs before.

Which one are you sending them to—and why?

Don't just give us the name. Tell us what makes your choice worth experiencing. šŸ‘‡

🌈 RAINBOW SPRINGS IS BEAUTIFUL. BUT THE WATER IS ONLY PART OF THE STORY.

People have been drawn to this place for thousands of years.

Today, visitors find brilliant blue water, the beginning of the Rainbow River, gardens—and something you might not expect beside a natural Florida spring:
Waterfalls.

Those waterfalls are human-made remnants of Rainbow Springs' past as a private Florida tourist attraction. They were built on piles left behind by earlier phosphate mining, and today they remain part of the park's unusual cultural landscape.

So a visit to Rainbow Springs can be part swimming trip, part nature experience and part journey through old Florida tourism history.

āš ļø Planning a visit? As of September 2026, day-use reservations are required. Parking is also limited during a renovation project scheduled through Feb. 4, 2027, so check current park information before heading out.

🌊 Find Rainbow Springs in Spring Seeker and add another Florida icon to your adventure list.

šŸ›¶ SOME SPRINGS ARE MADE FOR SLOWING DOWN. JUNIPER CAN ASK A LITTLE MORE OF YOU.

Deep inside Ocala National Forest, Juniper Springs sits among palms, oaks and hundreds of bubbling springs.

The recreation area offers swimming, hiking, camping and snorkeling.

But paddlers know Juniper for something else:
Juniper Run.

The roughly seven-mile waterway winds through a National Wilderness Area beneath a dense forest canopy. It’s beautiful and wild—but changing conditions, submerged hazards and natural obstacles mean the run is not recommended for beginners.

That combination of spring water and wilderness gives Juniper an experience all its own.

šŸ“– Already tackled Juniper? Add it to your Spring Seeker Journal.

🌓 WHAT IF THE SPRING ISN’T THE END OF THE ADVENTURE—BUT THE BEGINNING?

That’s part of the appeal of Alexander Springs.

Located in Ocala National Forest, Alexander Springs combines exceptionally clear, 72-degree water with a broad, gently sloping spring pool. Visitors can swim and snorkel, while the surrounding recreation area opens the door to paddling, hiking, camping and wildlife watching. It is also the only location in Ocala National Forest where scuba diving is permitted.

Beyond the swimming area, Alexander Run carries the adventure farther into the forest.

This is the kind of place where you can come for the spring—and discover an entire landscape.

šŸ—ŗļø Pull up Alexander Springs in Spring Seeker, then explore the Seeker Map to see what else Ocala National Forest has waiting nearby.

🌿 NOT EVERY FLORIDA SPRING COMES WITH A PARK ENTRANCE AND A BIG SIGN.

Some are simply part of the landscape—and part of the fun of exploring Florida's spring country is learning they're there.

Telford Spring sits along the Suwannee River in Suwannee County, one of the many springs connected to this remarkable river system. The Suwannee River Water Management District has documented Telford for decades as part of its spring monitoring and inventory work.

It may not have the name recognition of some of Florida's famous spring destinations, but that's exactly why places like Telford belong in the Florida Springs Discovery Network.

Because discovering Florida's springs isn't only about visiting the ones everybody already knows.

Sometimes it's about realizing just how many are out there.

šŸ—ŗļø Find Telford Spring in Spring Seeker, then explore the Seeker Map to see what other springs are hiding along the Suwannee.

šŸ‘‡ Share one tip for someone just beginning their Florida spring adventures.
You might make somebody's next trip a whole lot better.

šŸ‘‘ NOT EVERY FLORIDA SPRING ADVENTURE HAS TO START AT ONE OF THE BIG-NAME DESTINATIONS.

Sometimes the fun is finding the places that still feel like local discoveries.

Royal Spring, near O’Brien and the Suwannee River, is one of those places.

It gives us a different kind of Spring Spotlight—not about checking off another famous Florida attraction, but about exploring the smaller places that make spring country so interesting.

And that is exactly what Spring Seeker is meant to help with.

šŸ—ŗļø Find Royal Spring, open the Seeker Map, and see where your next stop might be.

šŸ’™ THIS IS THE KIND OF FLORIDA PLACE YOU COULD PASS BY WITHOUT REALIZING WHAT’S THERE.

Near Mayo, beneath moss-draped trees along the Suwannee River, sits Lafayette Blue Springs.

The first-magnitude spring stays around 72 degrees and includes one of its most interesting natural features—a limestone land bridge separating portions of the water.

And underneath?
A much larger world.

More than 12,000 feet of underwater passageways have been surveyed in the associated Green Sink cave system.

Above ground, the experience can be much simpler.
Swim. Picnic. Paddle. Slow down.

Sometimes discovering Florida is about finding places you didn't know to look for.
