In the woods of Northern New Jersey, Wyatt Harrison, a master wood worker, took on a new direction in 2015 and cut his first log into a chainsaw carving. After seeing the personality of his carvings come to life and his creativity began to flourish, he attended many craft events. It was then that Wyatt saw how much his carvings brought a smile to someone's face and how much they meant to someone.

"My wife would give my bears a name, she made tags that said "Please look after this bear," and gave them hats or scarves. I could not believe how much people connected with them, and how quickly I sold my carvings. I loved the photos and compliments I received on my carvings as well, it really made me feel good that someone had a piece of my creativity in their homes." Wyatt started carving logs into trees and pumpkins, then ventured onto carving bears. His carving ability and designs enabled him to create bears in such a unique way, each having their own personality but with that signature look. After a year of carving bears, Wyatt is now carving eagles, tree houses, custom pieces, and carved signs. Building a growing reputation, Wyatt's work is featured at local garden centers, craft shows and at his wood shop in Hewitt NJ.

It's the final few days, and like plenty of you, I am still struggling to figure out what to get a few people in my life. Unfortunately for me, I have already given them plenty of carvings over the years, but right now, I really wish I could play that card again. Happy shopping, and good luck to all those last minute shoppers out there braving the crowds at the stores and malls....I feel your pain 🎄🎅🎁

The one facing forward is 16 inches tall and $90

Since it's getting close to Christmas time, instead of posting carvings individually, here are all the carvings from this last batch. You can find the details and more pictures for each of them on my website, or you can message me here.

The gnomes are small enough to ship, but they will not arrive in time for Christmas more than likely.

I am going to have one more small batch done before the weekend, then that will be it for Christmas.

Here is one of the smaller sign bears I posted last week as a work in progress. I went a little different with the sign keeping it natural. The board had a nice weathered grey on both sides, and it just looked nice, so I went with it.
