🌸 SOCIAL CREATURE ROSADO 🌸
Floral • herbal • blood orange • picnic wine

This rosé feels like Memorial Weekend in the Northwoods.
The trees are green again. The patios are full. And we are all ready to shake off any lasting hibernation feelings.

🧀 Fontina Herbes de Provence
Creamy, herbal, bright, and ridiculously good with the rosé. The herbs pull out all the savory/floral notes in the wine without making anything feel heavy.

🍪 Effie’s Almond Biscuits
Buttery almond + cardamom + rosé = elite picnic snack behavior.

🍫 Mecha “Hello Spring” Chocolates
Lemon curd. Lavender vanilla. Strawberry balsamic. Honey thyme caramel.
Basically the flavor profile of late May in a chocolate box.

🐾 Dog Pairing
Snuffle toys, patio naps, and dogs supervising the snack board while everyone says:

Our pup of the week!
Kain always knew how to pick out the best squeaker in a toy. He was a gentle giant with a big soft heart for everyone he encountered.
We were so lucky to have gotten to have Kain grace the store and pick out one of his last favorite toys.

The lake is still freezing cold, but the sun finally feels warm again. You can sit outside while getting hit with crisp Lake Superior air and have the sunshine melt you at the same time — and it’s perfect.

Lakewood Bubbly Candeo fits that feeling exactly:

This week we’re welcoming spring with a pairing lineup that feels bold, cozy, and just a little wild — just like Wisconsin. 🦡🌱

Our featured wine is the Broc Cellars Nero D’Avola — a juicy, earthy red with notes of dark berries and spice that pairs beautifully with richer cheeses and savory snacks.

🧀 Paired with:
• Bluegrass Bourbon Gouda — smoky, creamy, and just sweet enough to pull out the wine’s deeper notes
• Emmy Lou Pecorino Style — nutty and salty with a buttery finish that balances the fruit in the Nero D’Avola

🍪 Nordic Crisps Sumac + Thyme bring a bright herbal crunch that gives the whole pairing a fresh spring feel.

🍫 And for a fun twist, the Ranger Rosé Bonbons add a floral, fruity bite that surprisingly works with the wine’s juicy character.

Meet Fiona 💕

Our Pup of the week 🐾 She was one of the very first pups to visit us during our grand opening, and she completely stole our hearts. Sweet, curious, and always ready to inspect the cheese counter, she quickly became one of our favorite early shop visitors. 🧀🐶

🍋 RIESLING FEINHERB (Off-Dry Riesling)
Okay… this one’s for the “I want something refreshing, a little fruity, but not too sweet” people.
It’s got juicy peach and citrus, a touch of sweetness, and that bright, zippy acidity that keeps everything feeling crisp and alive. This is the kind of wine that makes you go back for another sip without even thinking about it.
So instead of piling on more sweetness, we built a lineup that balances it out and lets it shine:

🧀 Smoked Mozzarella (Nonna Mozz)
Creamy, mild, with just a hint of smoke.
👉 The creaminess softens the acidity, and that light smokiness adds depth so the wine doesn’t feel overly fruity. Everything lands smoother and more balanced.
