When the snow rolled in Friday night, some folks saw slick roads and long days ahead.
Allison Read saw responsibility.

Every morning since then, she’s been up at 4:30 a.m., scraping ice, warming up the truck, and making sure everyone made it to work safely. And when those long shifts finally ended, often well after 8 p.m., she made sure everyone got back home too.

Allison has been part of the Forest Tower Food Mart family since 2016, and it shows. This isn’t just a job to her. It’s her people. Her hometown. The place she shows up for, day after snowy day.

We’re proud to know her not just as Natural State Miss 2026, but as the kind of woman who quietly does what needs to be done, without expecting applause. The crown may sparkle, but it’s her heart, her work ethic, and her love for her community that shine the brightest.
