We are Ernest Vineyards because we believe that well made wines are an expression of their place, their vineyards. To make the wines that we are passionate about, we sought out vineyards from places that embody the magical combination of sunny days, foggy cool nights, and sandy soils that are all meticulously far

Our baby Pinot clusters are starting to size up with the recent sunshine and warmer breezes. Cleary Ranch is the southern vineyard anchoring the 14 acres of Ernest properties in foggy Freestone Valley. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown here for our Estate wines and our special Cleary Ranch Pinot. Clay soils peppered with sandy loam have led us to dry farming in most years. The vineyard was certified Organic by CCOF in 2023.🍇

We are delighted to unveil a new release to you, just in time for Father’s Day! A favorite varietal of ours, now sporting its new Ernest label, the 2023 Alder Springs Vineyard Trousseau captivates with its translucent, gentle ruby hue. Its charming bouquet of ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, and red currant on the nose is intertwined with the essence of spring mountain air and fresh pine sap.

On the palate, it presents a lightness in weight, displaying expressive yet restrained flavors of tart cherry and candied cranberry, complemented by bright acidity and sandy tannins. Subtle notes of hibiscus tea, marked with a touch of salinity, invite an array of food pairing options. A delightfully structured and balanced wine, allowing the fruit to generously linger through the finish. Available for purchase in our Healdsburg Tasting Lounge and online.🍷
