🇺🇸 Home feels a little different when someone you love is deployed.

It’s the empty chair at dinner. The missed birthdays and holidays. Keeping your phone close because you don’t want to miss that call—and hearing their voice makes your whole day.

On National Day of the Deployed, we honor the service members serving far from home and the families holding things together until they return.
As a military family, this is personal to us. We know the pride and the worry that come with loving someone who serves.

To everyone deployed: thank you. You are loved, missed, and remembered. And to the families waiting—your sacrifices matter, too. ❤️

Here’s to safe returns and those long-awaited welcome-home hugs.

A little apple. A little cinnamon. And enough attitude to earn the name Hellhound Brew. 🔥🐺

This easy Halloween cocktail looks like it came straight from the underworld—but the real question is whether it tastes wickedly good or earns a warning for the morning.

Watch to see where it lands on the official Ranks & Reactions scale. Would you try this one?

🇺🇸 Their service deserves to be remembered. Their stories deserve to be told.

On October 18, 1997, the Women in Military Service for America Memorial—now known as the Military Women’s Memorial—was officially dedicated at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery.

This history is personal to me. My grandmother, Donnis Parton Street, served in the Navy Reserve as a Seaman Second Class with the WAVES—Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. I’m proud that her story is part of our family’s military heritage.

I now have the folded American flag our family received when she passed. It’s a lasting reminder that before she was my grandmother, she was also a young woman who stepped forward to serve her country.

At Ranks & Reactions, remembering our military roots includes honoring women like her, alongside generations of women whose service helped shape our nation.

To the women who served before her, alongside her, and after her—and those serving today—thank you. Your service matters, and your stories deserve a place in our history. 🇺🇸

Candy corn: Halloween classic or sugary little disappointment? 🎃🍬

We turned it into a Candy Corn Martini with homemade candy corn-infused vodka, orange liqueur, and orange juice. It’s sweet, citrusy, bright orange—and about as subtle as a full-size candy bar in the trick-or-treat bowl.

But does it actually taste good, or is it just a cute Halloween cocktail?

Watch the new Ranks & Reactions video to see how it earned its official ranking.

Would you try a Candy Corn Martini, or should candy corn stay in the candy bowl?

Drink responsibly, laugh often, and remember—arguing over candy corn is practically a Halloween tradition.

A Veteran who dies by su***de is not a coward.

Recently, a Green Star family shared that someone called their son a coward because he died by su***de.

Imagine losing your child and then having someone reduce their entire life, their service, and their struggles to one cruel word.

That Veteran raised his hand to serve our country. He had a life, a family, people who loved him, and battles others may never fully understand.

Su***de does not erase courage.
It does not erase honorable service.
And it does not erase a family's sacrifice.

Before you judge a Veteran's death, remember there is a family left behind who will carry that loss for the rest of their lives.

Their life was more than how it ended.

To every Green Star family: We see you. We honor your Veteran. And we stand beside you.

They served. Their families sacrificed.
