Featured Wine of the Week - Scarpetta Pinot Grigio

Barb Banno is the founder and force behind Stella’s in Gulfport —Stella’s, Stella’s Sundries, and Stella’s Divine Wine & Gourmet. With 15 years in Gulfport, Barb has become more than a business owner—she’s part of the heartbeat of the community.

We asked her to share a little more about her journey:

How long she’s been serving up Gulfport goodness: "15 years."

What she loves most about this town: "The sense of community."

Her favorite thing about opening a wine shop: "Well, aside from the obvious perk of tasting the wine, I love being able to offer products that bring people together—whether it's for a party with friends, a romantic date night, or a special event."

Our next Food and Wine Pairing is coming up on Saturday, April 12, 7PM -9PM. We will focus on the wine and food of South America. Enjoy a 4-course menu of South American-based cuisine, and amazing wines that pair with each course.

1st course: Argentinian Empanada
Beef, olive, avocado mousse

2nd course: Ceviche
Florida grouper, lime, endive

3rd course: Polenta Tower
Burnt ends, chimichurri, Malbec reduction

4th course: Individual dessert charcuterie board

Featured Wine of the Week: TintoNero Cabernet Franc

While Malbec may be a focus for the TintoNero Winery, it is not the only one, as is evidenced by its savory and well-balanced Cabernet Franc from high-elevation Uco Valley vineyards in Argentina. The elevations ensure the red wine has a lovely freshness that matches with layers of wild herbs, violets, plums, and wild berries. While the palate is full and well-rounded, it is still approachable, with a luscious texture and a rich, dry palate, making it delicious on its own or with grilled meats, burgers, or roasted mushrooms.
