๐ทMEET THE WINE MAKER ๐ท
Some people arrive in wine through family history, formal training, or a lifelong dream.
Casey OโBrien arrived because he needed a job.
A Rhode Island kid who somehow found himself in California wine country, Casey fell in love not with varietals or scores, but with the people. The stories. The meals shared around a table. The feeling of opening a bottle and finding yourself exactly where youโre supposed to be.
Over the last decade, that journey led him from harvests in Napa and Sonoma to creating his own label,
What we love most about Casey isnโt just the wine he makes. Itโs the way he moves through the world.
Generous with his time. Quick with a joke. A little irreverent. Deeply thoughtful. The kind of person who remembers that wine is ultimately about connection.
When we asked him what community means, his answer stopped us in our tracks:
โI am here because people made room for me at their tables.โ
As a q***r winemaker, Casey says it took him a long time to fully embrace who he is. Today, Itri is his way of sharing the love, acceptance, and belonging he eventually found for himself.
His wines reflect that spirit. Fresh, bright, approachable wines that donโt fit neatly into a box and donโt care much for rules. Crisp whites. Chillable reds. Wines made for good food, good friends, and passing another glass around the table.
When we asked Casey to finish the sentence, โWine is ________,โ his answer was simple:
โWine is finding your people.โ
Weโre grateful he found his way to ours.
