Just through the doors of your Greensboro Cigar Company. We have been waiting for this one since the announcement of it's creation. From Karen Berger, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of the Karen Berger Ixtelli, the first Nicaraguan "Puro" in her portfolio of world class ci**rs!

Ixtelli, named so for the what is known now as Esteli, Nicaragua, involves the expert techniques of Cuban master blenders and reflects the cultural heritage of Estelí, emphasizing both sustainability and the legacy of to***co cultivation in Nicaragua. This tribute to the region's pre-Columbian roots underscores the deep historical and cultural significance embedded in each cigar, and honors' the rich heritage and tradition of Nicaraguan to***co.

Incredibly unique for Karen, as it is the first Nicaraguan "Puro" produced at her tabacalera in Esteli, Nicaragua, meaning that every component, from filler to wrapper, has been cultivated by Karen from the soils of Nicaragua. Crafted in one size, a 6" x 52 Toro, the blend showcases fillers from both Esteli and Jalapa, a binder of Jalapa-grown Habano, and finished in gorgeous silky Nicaraguan Habano Criollo, producing beautiful medium-bodied notes of vanilla, baking spice, cedar, nuts, and sweet cream.

The return of the man! Just through the doors of your Greensboro Cigar Company, we proudly introduce to you La Gloria Cubana's Los Gloriosos, crafted by La Gloria Cubana's OG, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, at his very own Casa Carrillo, home to his historic #1 Cigar's Of The Year EPC Encore and EPC Pledge!

As whenever I speak of anything Ernesto, I would be remiss if I did not begin first with the man himself.

What can be said about the iconic Ernesto Perez-Carrillo that has not already been said? The man behind the original non-Cuban La Gloria Cubana brand who brought us the Wavell and El Rico Habano. The Godfather of Boutique Ci**rs who gave birth to small batch artisanal cigar making. The man who pioneered the 60 ring gauge movement with the La Gloria Cubana Serie R. The man who helped put Miami's Little Havana on the cigar-making map with his El Credito fabrica on Calle Ocho. The man who created EPC Ci**rs with his inaugural release in 2009 and went on to create Cigar Aficionado's #1 Cigar Of The Year in 2018 with Encore, and again in 2020 with Pledge. The highly anticipated release of Aganorsa Leaf's highly sought-after Supreme Leaf in it's newest format, a 5 1/2 x 52 Royal Perfecto, crafted with Supreme Leaf's stellar blend comprised entirely of Aganorsa-grown to***cos from Eduardo Fernandez' farms in Nicaragua.

From Terence Reilly, Aganorsa's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, on this newest size of Supreme Leaf, in an interview with the industry's cigar blog, halfwheel.com:

“Demand for Supreme Leaf continues to grow and we are committed to releasing the same incredible blend in a new format with each release to showcase how each size creates a unique experience. The last Supreme Leaf Perfecto we launched in 2023 was a massive hit because of the distinctive complexity of flavor and aroma the tapered form offered.”

He went on to say that fans of the Supreme Leaf line requested the experience of the original 6 x 54 perfecto in a shorter format, which led to the creation of the Royal Perfecto. Crafted at Noel's factory in Esteli, Nicaragua in one size, a gorgeous 6" x 54 Toro, with a filler blend comprised of to***cos from Nicaragua and US Connecticut Broadleaf, secured in a Mexican San Andres binder, and finished in silky Ecuador Habano Maduro. Notes of dark chocolate, espresso bean, black pepper, and leather abound, all backed by an underlying creaminess.
