Smith's Grocery originated in 1930 from a vegetable stand which after a few years was turned into a Pool hall with beverages. Eventually the little Vegetable stand was turned into a Grocery store. LIllian and Ellis Richardson purchased the store from the Smith's in 1970, from there the store continued to grow and establish a small deli, gas and bottle redemption. In 1990 Mary and Bill Thompson pur

chase the store from their parents, the Richardson's. Smith's Grocery offers their customers a little of everything. Smith's offer the convenience of bottle redemption, gas & diesel, grain & feed, full deli including PIzza, Sandwiches and full line of groceries. During the holidays you can order fresh made rolls, and pies.During hunting season - bring your game down to be weighed. During the summer stop down for hand dipped Ice Cream cones.

Been a busy few days;

🧑‍🍳 Are you headed to the Greensboro Funky Fourth Parade? We started early and made 350 sandwiches and prepped all the peppers/onions and goodies for your lunch from the Greensboro folks; make sure you get yours today.

💐 The pictures below are some great platters & salads we made for a customer enjoying a celebration with her friends & family! Yes we do cater 🙂

🍦As a reminder we are not doing creemee/hard ice cream this season. We unfortunately are taking the season off. We do have other yummy treats though.

We’ve got a full supply of Propane Tanks in today (we apologize for the late delivery) the weather will be perfect for grilling this weekend 🥩

Our fishing bait (worms/crawlers) got a little “bloated” and sick. We’ve sent them to the ground and have a NEW batch for all your fishing needs…🐟

Our store closing hours are 8pm during the week and 9 pm closing on Friday & Saturday. We have decided to leave the hours as is for the summer. 🤷
