Random day for a picture of Santa & The Grinch to pop up! There’s a reason…. Just read:
There’s a grinch he represents the chaotic world we live in, the crime, the homeless, the addictions, the technology and everything that sometimes takes the kindness away from humans.
Then there is Santa Claus the one everyone believes in at a point in life, the one spreading cheer, bringing presents and making the world seem a little less scary.
You see these two characters as you see are just that , and behind their masks are real people, people that have beating hearts, a brain and were born in the same world as us.
You see we are not here to judge, if we didn’t have the Grinches we wouldn’t see the beauty in between, if we didn’t have the grinches we wouldn’t see the impact that kindness can have, we wouldn’t learn to appreciate the small gestures. We wouldn’t have the opportunity to believe in things.
The man behind the beard is that of one. He seems just as a character but in the every day world he shows up to the community in ways you would only recognize if you stopped long enough to see. He visits with the community, he does small gestures like make you laugh, treats our staff to gifts and cakes, hands out peaches and tomatoes for hours for free freshly grown, he offers his help and volunteers. He’s a genuine man. A man that looks past the Grinches faults. The Grinch represents the chaos; and believe it or not the grinch has a purpose.
If you can look past the faults of others, the scary moments in the world, the community scarce, the small town mishaps you’d see a whole world of kindness. A community that lifts us up when we are down, a Grinch that has simply lost his GPS signal, a Santa that has stopped long enough to spread his kindness and whole lot of conversations in between.
Whether you have it all together we all need a Santa & a Grinch in our life even for a brief moment. It’s then you realize the difference between a cup half full or half empty.
*Be Kind*
