In June 2018, we moved from the Tackle Shop in the first building in town to the General Store (3 doors away) at 33257 GVL Rd. We have the tackle shop, AlexLuv2Cook baked goods, the Info Center and AlexLuv2Cook Market aka General Store, providing all the essentials and other items for the locals, weekenders, fishermen, campers and visitors. Our prices are very reasonable and we do not gouge on pri

ces. History about my Cooking & Baking:
I love to cook & bake with a passion - I think it started when I was 13-15 years old with cooking classes in school but I didn't know about the passion then. My grandmother was a great Nyonya cook (a unique blend of 2 cultures - Chinese & Malay) - her greatest pleasure was seeing family and friends enjoy her food. Although I didn't get a chance to learn from her, I had the love of baking and started collecting all kinds of recipes since my teenage years. After coming to the US, I had to cook (what I missed in my comfort food from home) and that's where the collection of recipes came in handy. In December 2011, I decided to offer my Christmas cookies and super rich fruit cake for sale and thus started my new adventure with Luv2Cook in the baking and catering business. I "fell in love" with making cake pops (the endless possibilities of design and creativity in turning out these little morsels of heavenly bliss on a stick!)
And now I've found my obsession with decorating cookies, always thinking and finding new ideas to make that special cookie for an occasion or holiday. You name it, we probably have the cookie cutter for the occasion you need! Shall we say I'm expressing my "artistic creativity" through "a canvas of delicious morsels"? So my friends and visitors on this page, I would love for you to try some of my "artistic work" and hopefully get your support in helping to promote my page through sharing it with your friends and having them in turn share with their friends. In mid-2012, I added other sweet treats, specialty bars and cakes to Luv2Cook's repertoire. In August 2013 we started making sweet breads and yeast breads and in November 2013 we added homemade creme filled chocolate candies.
