Everyone knows J Lohr for their estate series, however the do have an elevated tier of wines that would go great on the dinner table if you are looking for something that is a little step up.
J lohr pure paso is a proprietary red blend that higlights j lohr’s house style which is acclaimed for its dense and focused fruit signature, coupled with a soft approachable palate.
The arroyo vista Chardonnay comes from vineyards in Monterey’s arroyo secto. Producing a textbook Monterey Chardonnay wine with tropical fruit and bright acidity, amazingly food versatile.
Hilltop Cabernet is a Paso Robles Cabernet that is conplex with refined dark fruit upon release but also has the structure to age graceful for 10-15 years when cellared properly.
If you are a fan of J lohr these options should definitely be part of your thanksgiving table this year.

Todays thanksgiving wine pairing has some home state roots. Two old dogs Cabernet is a Napa cab grown on what was formerly the herb lamb wine estates. When the property was sold former mlb catcher and Rhode Islander Chris Ianetta teamed up with friend and teammate Vernon wells to create jack winery. Two old dogs is a great expression of Napa cab. Deep purple in color with an upfront nose of blueberry, candied orange zest, violets, and spice box. This cab is rich and medium to full bodied it has a rounded mouth filling texture and sweet tannins. 100% Cabernet aged in 65% new French oak barrels. Stop in and give this one a try.

2021 Kistler Sonoma mountain Chardonnay.
One of the best and most sought after Chardonnay this wine from Kistler vineyards has notes of toasted almonds, nougat and roasted cacao nibs. There’s a blistering core of fresh lemon and lime in this succulent, profoundly creamy wine. This is a real gem in the world of Chardonnay, a great wine to open at the dinner table and share with family and friends.

Todays wine showcase for the dinner table are two great selections from flower’s vineyards and winery.
The first is their Sonoma coast Chardonnay. The vineyards for this wine are situated a mere two miles from the ocean at nearly 1,500 feet. It’s fruit combine elements of chilly costal weather and mountain character. The 21 vintage produced smaller berries which resulted in lower yields, but the superb quality of this small vintage stands out. Juicy citrus on the palate gives way to complex layers of white stone fruit and herbs with a backbone of acidity that Carrie’s through a textured finish. this is a great wine for you white drinker at Thanksgiving.
The second selection is their Sonoma coast pinot noir . This wine is produced even closer to the water with each of the vineyard blocks providing different traits, and distinctive characteristics. This wine has red fruit on the nose with layers of violets, spice and cherry on the palate. A great lighter style red wine for the table.
