Done working on a bookmatched curly cherry slab today. These are probably the most spectacular cherry slabs I've ever seen. As soon as I get a base for it, I'll be listing it for sale.

With views of before and after clearcoating.

Just delivered this today... Sycamore and walnut "river" table. The sycamore slab had two large limbs, one on each side that made it less amenable as a dining table so we decided to make a river table out of it by ripping down the middle and nesting the ends of the limbs together like thumbs.
The client did not want a resin fill, though, so we opted for a walnut insert. The edges of the sycamore were carved on the cnc. The walnut was cut out using the same pattern and then glued in. It was a perfect fit, of course.
There's a lot going on on the tabletop with all of the different colors and patterns, but that's why I love sycamore.
The bookcases are solid chestnut. I came across a ton of chestnut a while back, and I was able to acquire some of it. This was my first chance to use some of it. It did not disappoint!!

Finally delivered... custom book cases and a mini bar.

The mold was made from a sheet of 3/4" melamine with 1/8" Masonite foe the sides. With the slab placed in the center, we've poured a shallow layer of resin, colored with mica flake dry pigment. ("Mahogany" from Black Diamond Pigments)
After this thin layer is cured, we'll pour a deep layer of clear resin over top of it.

Just finished installing these built-in bookcases last week for a customer in Aspinwall. We also took out the old mantle and put in a new one. Easier than trying to fix the old one. ))

Custom bathroom vanity. Spalted, quartersawn sycamore face frame and drawer fronts. Solid oak drawers, Rubio Monocoat finish.
