We’re excited to share some news about the Civil War Store at 41 Steinwehr Avenue—Gettysburg!

As of January 1, 2026, Gettysburg Souvenirs & Gifts—owned by Todd and Craig—have taken over the store and its remaining inventory and will be operating it moving forward. They have been longtime, trusted partners, and we’re thrilled to see this location continue under their care.

The Civil War Store at 41 Steinwehr name will remain for now, and visitors can expect the same great location with new energy and leadership from a team that already knows and loves Gettysburg.
We’re grateful for the many years of support from our customers and community and look forward to cheering Todd and Craig on as they begin this next chapter!

As for us, Strickland Enterprises, Inc. will continue operating our factory location. Wholesale orders for screen printing and embroidery are still available, and we’re proud to continue serving the needs of our community in that way. We hope you’ll stop in and see us! We are still open every day! 🛍️

Steinwehr Ave. is open for business! With the current government shutdown many are asking the status of Gettysburg. All businesses on Steinwehr Ave. are operating, business as usual. Battlefield roads are open, the Visitors Center owned by the Gettysburg Foundation is open as well. The only things impacted are the National Cemetery and the Eisenhower Farm home are closed (the grounds remain open). Additionally, Ranger programs are paused. So come on out to Steinwehr Ave. for your favorite places to eat, drink, shop, and be merry!

We have been in business in Gettysburg since the 1970s, but our focus as a family has changed and we have decided to launch a retirement closeout clearance sale, and also list the business for sale.
