🔥 HARK! Listen carefully… or maybe, taste carefully? Can you hear with your tongue? Well, it’s worth a try! This week, we’re featuring a sunny lineup from Hark Vineyards, located in the rolling hills of Earlysville, Virginia. If you haven’t made the trip to meet them in person, here’s your chance to explore their wines by the glass, or in a flight right here. Hark’s wines have earned spots on the lists of Michelin-starred restaurants in DC and have brought home multiple medals from the Virginia Governor’s Cup—so they’re as serious as they are refreshing. From bright whites to fragrant reds, when you HARK up, you’ll understand exactly what all the buzz is about.

🍋‍🟩 Hark Vineyards Pinot Gris Monticello Virginia 2021 100% Pinot Gris. Honeysuckle floral aromas with white pear, apricot, fig, and a little bit nutty. Continuing flavors of lemon-lime citrus, tropical fruit, fresh red apple juice, slight ginger spice, and wet stone minerality. Lush fruit-juiciness on the palate.

🍍 Hark Vineyards Petit Manseng Monticello Virginia 2021 100% Petit Manseng. Sweet aromas of ginger, pineapple, vanilla, and cream. Following to the palate are flavors of apricot, fruit cocktail, and toast, with warm cinnamon. This is a dry, really fruity wine that sits with fat juice on the palate.

🍑 Hark Vineyards Fuse Vidal Blanc Monticello Virginia 2021 95% Vidal Blanc, 5% Pinot Gris. Pale lemon-green in color. Rich aromas of bruised apple, ripe pineapple, honeysuckle, flower petals, and a touch of soft soapy perfume. Juicy stone fruit on the palate with pear, melon, citrus lemon-lime, peach, apricot.

🍒 Hark Vineyards Cabernet Franc Monticello Virginia 2023 100% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of red berries, violets, potpourri, and wild reeds. On the palate, it shows layers of flavors of red and black cherry, ripe plum, thyme, white pepper, and dried herbs, underpinned by warm wood tones, earth nuance, and the faintest whisper of green bell pepper.

🍓 SHABO Winery Rose Odesa Ukraine 2023 52% Merlot, 48% Pinot Noir. Aromas of fresh strawberry, wild raspberry, and a whisper of red currants, subtle hints of yogurt and cream with light red violets. Flavor of crisp red berries, touch of pink grapefruit and fresh pomegranate.

🍋 SHABO Winery Chardonnay Reserve Odesa Ukraine 2022 100% Chardonnay. Layered aromas of magnolia blossom, nectarine, citrus, warm apple, honeysuckle, and subtle French oak with vanilla accents. Flavor of lemon juice, tart citrus zest, honeydew melon, cassis, green wood, and a creamy lemon-butter candy note, finishing with a touch of walnut.

🫐 SHABO Winery Merlot Reserve Odesa Ukraine 2023 100% Merlot. Expressive bouquet of violets, lilacs, fresh blackberry, black plum, reeds, vanilla, and elegant French oak. The palate unfolds with layers of orange blossom, black cherry, and red plum, followed by softer notes of blueberry bramble, blackberry cream, pastry, nutmeg, and walnut, with earthy undertones of cooked blue fruit compote and wet leaves.

🍫 SHABO Winery Saperavi Reserve Odesa Ukraine 2023 100% Saperavi. Layered aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum, licorice, black pepper, smoked meat, dark chocolate, and earthy to***co leaf, all wrapped in a whisper of savory spice and charred oak. Equally complex is the plate with flavors of black fruit compote, bitter chocolate, dried herbs, and gamey undertones. Bright, crisp acidity lifts the richness, while high, velvety tannins create a plush, mouth-coating texture. The oak aging brings subtle notes of spice and structure without overshadowing the purity of fruit.

It delivers chunky, layered fruit: black cherry, red cherry, red plum, black currant, blackberry, and blueberry, grounded by bramble, thyme, and cracked black pepper. Packed with complexity and structure.

🫐 Chateau La Roberterie Primus Merlot Grand Vin De Bordeaux France 2017 100% Merlot. Complex aromas of violets, berry fruits, blackberry, blueberry, black currants, wild strawberry, black plum, vanilla, and sweet to***co, with lighter notes of smoke and dark chocolate. Flavor of red currant, dried herbs, black pepper, truffle, coconut and earth.

🍓 The Grateful Palate Southern Belle Red Wine Jumilla Spain 2022 Blend of Syrah and Mourvedre. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, red fruits, vanilla, and toffee.
