Ok so the amendment passed committee and is now in the hands of our state reps.the amendment gets rid of the 40 percent tax on inventory, wholesale, and resale,and puts a 5 cent per mil. Tax on all juice.this is doable for us.lee James personally called us and will continue to call to keep us informed. He believes it will be middle October before we get any real answer.To keep from being liable for the 40 percent tax we will continue the closure,until the amendment hopefully passes.call your state reps let them know va**ng is not smoking.thank you all for your continued support and sorry for this inconvenience brought on by our own commonwealth.

Ok friends and valued customers we are currently closed until further notice. We will find out today if the emergency amendment passed the special house committee on the tax bill that was to go in effect the first of October. Then we are told by R. Lee James that it will then go to the house on Wednesday. If it passes there it will then from what I'm to understand will repeal the massive tax increases. And we will be left with a 5 cent per milliliter tax just on ejuice. If for any reason it fails to do so we will be closed for good. Sorry but that's Pennsylvania for ya. But rest assured you are not alone 327 other pa v**e shops have closed with us. Thank you all for your business since we opened it was a great joy serving our community and the best of luck to you all.

The Email: In response to the damage already done in Pennsylvania, Representative Jeff Wheeland is introducing HB 2342, which will replace the 40% wholesale tax on all v***r products with a 5¢/ml tax on e-liquid.

Pennsylvania’s 40% wholesale tax on v***r products is completely unworkable. Dozens of shops have already closed in advance of the effective date because they are unable to afford paying 40% more on products they sell in addition to paying a 40% floor tax on all of their inventory as of October 1, 2016. There is also a stark realization that Pennsylvania consumers will likely purchase v***r products from out of state to avoid the punitive tax.

Take action NOW and urge your Pennsylvania lawmakers

to support a more manageable tax on v***r products.

Take Action - Send a Message

CASAA is opposed to any extra taxes on v***r products. We believe it is inappropriate to punish former smokers and would-be switchers for making healthier choices. Extra taxes also send the confusing and inaccurate message to consumers that v***r products carry risks similar to smoking. There is no credible science to support this notion.

However, CASAA is supportive of efforts that reduce taxes imposed on v***r products, like this effort in Pennsylvania. Please take action now and help Pennsylvania set an example for the rest of the country by reducing the extra tax on v***r products.
