It truly takes a village to care for animals at all stages of life, and right now, we're genuinely asking our community for some help.
In just the past month, we've been asked to help pick up 20 stray cats and dogs and provided them with dignified cremation services. We do this entirely at our own expense. We're so grateful for the few amazing people who volunteer their personal time and gas money to help us with these pickups. They do it because they care deeply, stepping in when we can't be everywhere at once due to the constant requests for help. Three of these animals were from Liberty, and the rest from Richmond. We are also grateful to those who have previously donated to help us.
We're facing a tough reality. We don't want to turn away anyone who reaches out to us, or turn away helping an animal, but the growing costs of providing respectful end-of-life care for animals who would otherwise have nothing has become a significant financial burden on us.
This is our hearfelt request: Please consider contributing to our Rainbow Fund. The generous donations that have kept us going for months are quickly running out, and we're truly running on fumes.
We also have another request: If you feel comfortable and safe, and it doesn't put you at risk, please consider assisting with the transport or pickup of an animal. We're always willing to help, but with our full-time jobs and managing our business, we're literally busy every minute of every day. It's just the two of us, and we can't be in multiple places at once.
So please, if you can, donate, share our post, and help animals who need it most. But most importantly, slow down while driving! It costs absolutely nothing to be kind to an animal, and driving more carefully can prevent so much heartache.
Please note, we've stopped posting the stray cats we pick up on Facebook because, sadly, none have ever been claimed. Still, our commitment to helping wherever we can remains as part of our mission.🐾
