WOW — what a weekend at The Bourbon MD! 🥃
Sunday, I had the privilege of doing what I love most — teaching about whiskey and bourbon. 🥃�Across three one-hour classes (all sold out!), we explored the fascinating history behind whiskey, how it’s crafted, and the flavor journeys that come from different distilling traditions.
Whether you were brand new to whiskey or already deep into the adventure, it was amazing to see so much curiosity, great questions, and excitement in the room. Sharing not just what’s in the glass, but why it tastes the way it does, is truly what drives my passion for this spirit.
Bourbon MD’s Whiskey and Cigar Lounge created the perfect environment to bring people together over a shared love of learning and great whiskey. If you're looking for a place to relax, learn, and sip something exceptional — this is it.

My wife’s been on a recipe treasure hunt lately, and I’ve been having a blast pairing her finds with some of my favorite bourbons. Tonight’s creation? A smash burger crunchwrap that might be one of the most indulgent things I’ve made in a long time. Think: crispy grilled onions 🧅 , golden fries 🍟 , smoky bacon 🥓 , gooey cheese 🧀 , and a punch of thousand island 🏝️ dressing—all wrapped up in that perfect crunch.

To match the richness, I poured a glass of Rock Hill Farms bourbon—made with Buffalo Trace’s Mash Bill #2 (same as Blanton’s 🐎 for the bourbon lovers out there). It’s bold, balanced, and brings out every savory note in the wrap.

🗽Took a stroll through Brooklyn, NY and ended up at the Widow Jane Distillery —and wow, this place is turning heads with bold flavor and NY attitude that makes their whiskey sing.🥃🎶🎭

They’re using limestone-rich water from the Rosendale mines, bringing in bold, complex flavors that stand out in every pour.
Add in a historic vibe and small-batch care, and you’ve got something truly special. 🥃🍁🌽
