Castello Monaci

🍷 A Special Puglia Discovery — Castello Monaci 🍷

During our recent trip to Puglia, Italy, we had the absolute pleasure of being welcomed to Castello Monaci by Pino.

We arrived without a reservation, and despite having both a wine tasting and a wedding event already underway, Pino graciously took the time to greet us, share several of their incredible wines, pair them with delicious local foods, and even provide a quick tour of the stunning property.

What a beautiful surprise it was when we returned home and zoomed in on one of our photos to learn that Castello Monaci literally means "Monks' Castle." The estate owes its name to a historic settlement of monks that once occupied the property. As owners of Monk's Wine & Liquor Cave, we couldn't help but feel an instant connection!

📍 If Puglia is on your travel agenda, we highly recommend visiting this magnificent estate. Not only are they known for producing exceptional wines, but the property is also one of the region's most sought-after wedding venues.

🍷 And if a trip to Italy isn't in your immediate plans, you can still experience a taste of Castello Monaci right here in Fort Lauderdale!

We're currently featuring their delicious Kreos Rosé, made from Negroamaro grapes and absolutely perfect for these hot South Florida summer days.

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day from your team at Monk’s Wine & Liquor Cave! ☘️

What better way to kick off the celebration than with a classic Irish Duck Fart Shot? 🥃

Stop in—we’ve got everything you need to make it at home. Recipe below! Sláinte! 🍀

Ingredients:
• ½ oz Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
• ½ oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
• ½ oz Crown Royal Canadian Whisky

Instructions:
Add Kahlua to a shot glass.
Slowly pour Bailey’s over the back of a spoon to create the second layer.
Slowly pour Crown Royal over a spoon to form the final layer.
