Very cool CCC Poster! This poster shows three CCC members walking along holding fire suppression tools. CCC Members only had hand tools for fighting fires! The members used the "one lick" method for fighting fires which consisted of each member doing one or several "licks", or strokes, with a specific tool and then moved forward to make room for the next worker to do the same. On this date, 90 years ago, the first Civilian Conservation Corps camp, Camp Roosevelt, NF 1, Co. 322, was established near Edinburg, VA.
