Herf House Ci**rs and Smoking Lounge will host the first "Third Thursday Business and Brew". Ryan Tanney of Haley Toyota and Kirby Moore of Edwin Jones Investments, are the sponsors for this evenings event beginning around 5:30-6:00PM Thursday March 16th. The forum will be open to all business people as well as any interested individuals wishing to share ideas to make the Farmville Community a better place to live and work.

This invitation is also extended to administrators, educators and students of both Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College.

Smoking is permitted (ci**rs purchased at the Herf House), and adult beverages can be brought into the lounge for personal consumption. (Prince Edward County ABC mandates a membership for this and a $5.00 charge will be assessed).

I personally think this is a great idea to assist with improving the business community and can benefit all who live in the Farmville-Hampden-Sydney area. Please attend to share your thoughts and ideas with Ryan Tanney and Kirby Moore, et al.

Good morning everyone.

The Herf House store special this week is BUY FOUR PREMIUM CI**RS AND GET ONE FREE. (Free cigar of equal or lessor value).

I also will inform you that Auntie Joan and I will be away Friday and Saturday this week; Oct 20-21, as we are attending the wedding of her oldest nephew, Gary and his bride Betsy, taking place in Delaware.

Lastly, I will be closed Tuesday 10/18 until around 11:30 to 12:00. Have to go into Richmond shopping for the store.

Just to let you all know The Herf House will close early today so Aunti Joan and I can attent the Longwood Athletic Fund Raiser in Richmond. I will close the store around 4:00 to 4:30.

I have been informed that although I thanked all of you who sent your best wishes for my speedy recovery on my personal page, it does not link to my Herf House Page, (DUH!!!). That's what I know about social media.

Therefore, let me thank all of you who sent email and texts wishing me good will and also to let you know I am back.

In the coming weeks, I will have a series of doctors appointments and will be opening the store at later hours.

I am back in the store and look forward to thanking all of you personally for your prayers and karma that got me through this.

This is my last offer for Sunday, Monday night football. I've not had any feedback regarding those who want to watch at the Herf House so if I don't get enough requests....

I also don't have any players for the Wednesday night poker. So maybe at some future time this will happen.

Lighters and grab bags are still on sale this week. Also, to let you pipe smokers know, I have new assortments of brier pipes coming in.

Today, I'm looking for some input regarding Sunday and Monday night Football. Some folks have asked if I will keep the lounge open for these two nights. So I'm asking you out there it you have any interest? If you're on my FaceBook feed and know others who aren't spread the word for me and get back to me. (I can tell you that I will not open the evening of Sept 11th, which is a Sunday. Got something else to do.) If enough fans want to use the lounge to watch football I will try it for the month of September and if it works for me and you I'll keep it going through Super bowl.

Also, I would like to host a Wednesday night Texas Hold em' winner take all tournament evening for those who like to play poker. I need enough sign ups for this so we can have at least one table of 10 to start. Want to hear from you that love to play poker.
