We would like to thank everyone that came out for our customer appreciation dinner tonight! We wouldn’t have been able to do this and would not still be where we are without the support of our community! We truly appreciate each and every single one of you for your continued support and we missed those of you who couldn’t make it. I didn’t get to take any pictures, but am sharing what was sent to me. Again, thank you all so much!

Also, I would like to say a special thank you to the people that I had helping me prepare and serve food, some of which also helped make this happen behind the scenes. So, thank you very much Mr. DR. Rehberg, Brikenzie, Crystal Hodge, Amanda Harvey, Patty Burks, and Lacy Lewis.

Several people offered to help prior to today and even during the event so I want to say thank you to all of you that extended the offer.

Thank you to Doshia and Ronda for bringing and handing out goody bags and for always making sure we have everything we need.

And finally, thank you to the Renick Volunteer Fire Department for allowing us to use your facility and supplies. Thank you for cleaning, helping set up tables, letting us in and out, serving, and helping with clean up.

In case I haven’t mentioned it a few times in previous posts, I want to say it yet again…Renick and the surrounding communities are absolutely the best communities to be part of and we are forever grateful.

Now selling fresh items from Trout Valley Amish Farm. Delivery to the store is on Tuesdays and Fridays. Items we typically stock are milk, buttermilk, butter, cookies, pumpkin rolls, white and whole wheat bread, donuts, pepperoni rolls, dinner rolls, and cinnamon rolls. We can take orders for pies and also any of the items we normally carry and would need orders in by Monday morning. The milk, buttermilk, and butter are all A2-A2 and have been selling amazing. We recently had a raffle going on in the store for a black walnut cutting board made by Danny Morgan. We carry a few of his wood products here at the store. The extra money received after cost for the cutting board went into our community funds jar and we were able to raise $240 towards community funds.
The winner of the cutting board was drawn today and was Stuart Roberts. We would like to thank everyone that bought a ticket and for those that continue to support us and our community.

We love local businesses and vendors and have several items to choose from that we carry from those people. We have local meats, all locally raised, from Baldwin’s Crazy A Farms and Spring Creek Superior Meats. We carry local honey from Joe Harrison and local honey and honey suckers from Taft Cochran Family Farm. Another of our local vendors is Falling Springs Vineyard, who supplies us with a great selection of wines. Heather Miller has been filling a rack with earrings and key chains and they have done amazing so far. Danny Morgan has an absolutely beautiful selection of cutting boards on display here for sale. We have local maple syrup from Renick from For Basic Life. Another of our offerings from locals is metal signs made by Brian Harrison. We have a variety of coffee choices supplied by Mountain Table. I have one beautiful wooden star at this time, made by a local, that is awesome with or without a string of lights. All of these items are from the Renick area and would make wonderful Christmas gifts.

After a ton of thought, consideration, and community input, we have decided to close on Sundays during the winter months beginning on Sunday, 12/15/2024. This was a very difficult decision for us to make and we did not make it lightly. We appreciate every single one of you and your business beyond measure and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause any of you. We look forward to continuing to serve you and hope that you will continue to support us Monday-Saturday, while stocking up for your Sunday needs during one of those days.

We will be selling chili and grilled cheese Saturday from 11-6. Cost will be $8.00 and extra donations will be accepted. Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for those affected by the recent hurricanes. We are hoping to be able to buy some buddy heaters and propane tanks to take to NC when we go.

Also, I have received an updated necessities list. Things needed for donation include wool socks, hand and feet warmers, propane tanks, propane grills/cook stoves, sleeping bags, tents, buddy heaters, leather work gloves, boots, toboggans, vinyl gloves, cooking utensils, batteries, lanterns, and head lamps.

We are still accepting donations such as toiletries, diapers, towels, etc.
