Just some clarity on our definition of FCFS
From time to time we will post a FREE item that is totally FREE!
No catches, No Bait and Switch, No BS, No Drama.
So instead of announcing a FREE item and standing back as a herd of people come rushing in, we will offer said FREE item and await responses and allow each person who responds one day to pick up said free item in order of when messages are received.
Okay so here's the catch;
We do not hold free items past 1 day for someone to pick up.
All FREE items must be picked up from the store [ East Coast Wholesale - 559 South Main st. Fall River, Massachusetts 02721 ] during business hours ( 10: am to 4: pm) on the business days that we are open { Monday through Saturday}.
We do not deliver FREE items unless delivery is paid for.
I will post items for FREE as often as I can; We have sold more than 4,000 different items through the years, if we listed 1 item per day we could be giving away items for the next 10+ years!
Free give away items are not returnable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's how our FCFS works;
- We list the item -
- 1st person to respond wanting the FREE item; is offered the FREE item and a time window to pick it up * If that time is not convenient; they are either moved to the bottom of the queue or dropped altogether and said item is made available to the next person to inquire.
- If 1st responder doesn't claim item within the allotted time frame it is made available to the next responder in order of response.
Generally if responses are generated in the morning that day 10: am to 4: pm would be the pickup window; if item isn't picked up by 4 it is offered to the next person to respond.
- When Item has been claimed I will go back through all the responders waiting in queue that the item has been claimed and is no longer available.
There is an opening for an apprentice to take photos and list items online. it is not a paid position however there is residual profit sharing incentive that could yield better than a paycheck.
any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
