Recently, Finnish Treasures Gift Shop and the Finnish Heritage Museum were honored to be a part of A New Day Cleveland program "Road Trip: Melting Pot"which aired on July 7th, 2025 and highlighted ethnic groups in Northeast Ohio. I have provided a link below for you. The whole program is very interesting, but if you want to jump ahead- the Finnish Heritage Museum segment begins at 25.23. Finnish Treasures follows at 29.36.

Beginning July 24, 2025 Finnish Treasures will have new hours: Thursdays 12-4PM, Fridays 12-4PM and Saturdays 10AM-4PM. (We will not be open on Wednesdays.) Feel free to call or text if you have any questions. Laura Malkamäki 440-478-5485

Finnish Treasures is resuming regular hours. We will be open this Friday and Saturday. I will have Nisu available. Scandinavian Almond Cakes will be available next week. Regular hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 12-4, Saturdays 10am-4pm.

Have you heard about the Salmiakki or Salty Licorice Cats discovered in Finland? They have unique genes and are characterized by ombre fur which is black at the base turning to white at the tip. These cats are so pretty. Here is a link to a CNN article or you could do an image search.

Finnish Treasures does not have Salty Licorice Cats, but we do have Salmiakki (Salty Licorice from Finland). Our hours are Wed-Fri 12-4 and Saturdays 10am-4pm. Hope to see you soon.
